Acts 20:17-35 – I Testify to the Gospel – Rev. Moses Camacho
Series: (All)
Rev. Moses Camacho gives his farewell sermon from Paul's speech to the Ephesian elders in Acts 20. Though there are good and bad times, the Word of the Lord remains and never changes. The Gospel must be preached at all times and we must be clear on what the Gospel is. There are those who will bring danger to the church and the truth of the Word, to deceive the disciples of Jesus. We must be vigilant to be faithful to the Lord, faithful to one another, and stand firm on the power of the Gospel of Christ Jesus our Lord.  First Scripture Reading: 1 Peter 1:17-25 Second Scripture Reading: Acts 20:17-35 This sermon was recorded / live-streamed at First Presbyterian Church of Corpus Christi on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

Matthew 3:15-4:11 – To Fulfill All Righteousness – Moses Camacho
    Series: (All)
Have you ever wondered, "Can Jesus really understand the struggles of my life? When I am feeling the weight of temptation to any sort of sin, can he really empathize?" The short answer? Yes. The long answer? Absolutely. In the temptations of Jesus, he was tempted in a very unique way, but its implications are universal. What does it mean for us to trust God as much Jesus trusts Him? Jesus can empathize with us more deeply than anyone in all Creation. How can we resist temptation as Jesus resisted it?
    Old Testament Reading: Deuteronomy 6:10-19
    New Testament Reading: Matthew 3:15-4:11
This sermon was recorded / streamed at First Presbyterian Church of Corpus Christi, TX, on Sunday, August 20, 2023.

“Grace of an Angry God” – Exodus 32 and 34 – Moses Camacho
    Series: (All)
Pastoral Resident, Moses Camacho, brings a word from Exodus 32 and 24 in reference to Israel's greatest sin, The Golden Calf. Right on the heel of the inauguration of God's covenant with Israel, they turn around and reject the Lord and his covenant by making the calf. The question we tackle is God's punishment on them and how we should understand his anger and justice. But the Old Testament constantly looks back on this moment and recalls God's grace and ultimate forgiveness even though Israel's sin of idolatry will haunt them. What does this passage and event mean for the church today?
