Pastoral Resident

Rev Fr. Aaron Wright

The Reverend Father Aaron Wright came to First Presbyterian Church in January 2017 as a seminary intern.  Aaron’s father was in the Army, so home is always wherever his family ends up. Aaron met his wife Abigail at Northland International University in Dunbar, Wisconsin. They got married in June 2012 and have 4 children. After graduating from Bible college with a degree in Biblical Languages, Aaron worked in a variety of vocations including as a teaching assistant in Greek, starting a financial education business, teaching in a Christian school, and serving as a youth director.  After several years of praying, God directed Aaron to finish seminary locally through the Logsdon Seminary at Stark Seminary. After graduating with a Master of Divinity in May 2019, First Presbyterian made Aaron a full-time Pastoral Resident, providing on-the-job training in ministry while serving on the church’s pastoral staff.

In August of 2018, he was commissioned into the US Navy as a Chaplain Candidate Program Officer. Aaron is ordained through the Evangelical Episcopal Communion (EEC) through Missio Mosaic. Aaron departs First Pres for chaplain school in September. When not enjoying family time, Aaron enjoys playing board games, video games, volleyball, and sport shooting.
