Weekly Gatherings

At First Presbyterian, we believe spending time together and encouraging one another is crucial in building a meaningful relationship with Christ.  When encouragement is absent from our lives, we feel unloved, unimportant, useless, and forgotten.  God knows his people are in need of grace-filled reminders, so he calls us to encourage each other every day until his son returns.  (Heb. 3:13)
Sunday, after the morning worship service, we invite you to join us as we meet for lunch and fellowship at various restaurants in the area.
Monday mornings at 8:30 we would like for you to join us in the Coffee Room as we meet to start the week off with a time of prayer, and encouragement of one another.
Wednesday evenings we meet in Kleberg Hall for the opportunity to get together and fellowship over a meal and the Bible beginning at 5:45 p.m.  The Bible study is led by our Pastoral Resident, Aaron Wright.  Cost for dinner is $5 per person or $15 for a family.  RSVP by Tuesdays at noon. Following dinner we study and discuss weekly Bible reading together followed by a lesson and more dialogue over the weekly reading. Although there is a weekly reading regular participants read together, this is certainly not required for enjoyable dialogue. Since we make the topic of our conversation the Bible, participants are welcome to share anything from their weekly reading for the benefit of discussion. Our time together truly is special in sharing in food and fellowship.
