Meet our Director of Family Ministries

Carrie L. Stice

Carrie grew up in El Paso, Texas. When she graduated high school, she moved to Lubbock, Texas where she attended Texas Tech University, earning a Bachelors in Multi-Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Special Education.
 

Following graduation, she began working with the El Paso Independent School District, and was a teacher at Kohlberg Elementary School. She taught 1st-4th grade and also became a Reading Specialist where she mentored various teachers and worked personally with many students. During this time, Carrie received the prestigious “Teacher of the Year” award in 2014, ranking as one of the top five educators in the whole district.

In 2016, Carrie earned a Master’s of Educational Leadership from Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas.

Carrie is the Director of First Presbyterian Church’s Day School. Carrie has been in this position since 2019, where she meets and interacts with new families and the children, making sure the school is following state licensing guidelines, as well as maintaining their Texas Rising Star Rating.

Carrie has attended First Presbyterian Church since 2017 with her three daughters: Kaylee, Kenzie and Kelsey. Carrie loves children and serving others; When time allows, she also really enjoys crafting and working in the yard.
